Man found dead inside compactor chute at Medgar Evers apartments in Brooklyn

NEW YORK — A person was discovered useless early Friday morning inside a compactor chute at a Brooklyn condominium constructing. 

Police stated he was found shortly after 4 a.m. on the Medgar Evers residences on Gates Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant. 

Investigators are nonetheless making an attempt to determine how he ended up useless after falling into the chute. 

CBS2’s Elijah Westbrook requested neighbors about what occurred. 

“That is loopy, like wow, I’ve no phrases,” stated Tony Lewis. 

Lewis instructed Westbrook he heard one thing a bit startling from cops. 

“I am listening to any person simply was searching for their keys or one thing and fell within the incinerator,” he stated. “That is all I heard, that is all I do know for now.”

Police stated a surveillance digicam sitting above the chute exhibits the very second the person was trying within the chute and climbed in. 

His title has not been launched, because the investigation continues.
